THE HIGHER CARE CLINIC IS HERE TO HELP YOU FROM START TO FINISH.

Your first step to obtaining a medical marijuana card is seeking a doctor to sign off on the physician recommendation form. This is a form that is needed to submit with your application for medical marijuana card. After seeing the doctor, you can register your account on the state website portal(OMMA). This allows you to create/submit your new patient application and submit pictures of your documents.

The state of Oklahoma cannot deny you a medical marijuana card because of any of your medical problems, but they can reject your application because of a typos, missing information and incorrect pictures.

If you receive a rejection, they will allow you to fix your application. The OMMA will send you an email explaining why they rejected it and how to fix it. There will be ample time to correct any issues and re-submit your application.

The state fee in Oklahoma for a two-year OMMA card is $104.30. If you have Medicare, Medicaid, Soonercare, or are a 100% Disabled Veteran the card price is $22.50.

Once you have submitted your application to the OMMA, they have fourteen (14) business days to give you either an approval or rejection. You will receive an email notice and then they will mail the card. This can take an additional week to receive your card. It will come in a white, unmarked envelope, from Oklahoma City.

Once you receive your medical marijuana card in the mail, you are able to possess, use and cultivate cannabis legally. You are able to have 6 immature plants and 6 mature plants growing.

DON’T FORGET

Don’t forget to renew your card every 2 years. It will follow the same process. OMMA will notify you via email up to 60 days prior to card expiring. You can submit your application starting at 30 days before expired. The state will not take payment before this time, but you can see you doctor if needed. The physician form is good for 30 days.

Pediatrics and Caregivers

Pediatrics (under 18 years old) are fully able to receive a medical card. They will need 2 separate doctors to provide a physician recommendation form. At the Higher Care Clinic, you don’t need go anywhere else as we can provide your second recommendation as well. We also help you apply the proper way and attach all the correct documents. The parent/legal guardian will apply for a caregiver card after the pediatric med card is approved.

Caregivers are someone who can purchase medical marijuana for another patient. This can be for many reasons like pediatrics and those who can’t physical get to the dispensary on a regular basis. There’s no cost to applying but the doctor will need to add an additional signature to the physician recommendation form.
